Chuck Smith, mannen med mange historier..

I 2006 var Mr og Mrs Bubbelehead i USA. Vi opplevde og så mye ,men var virkelig kult og få treffe Chuck Smith fra Empi som Blue Baron og PJ kjente godt. Dessverre døde han ifjor så jeg fikk ikke snakket med han mere, men fikk mange historier fra 60-70tallet.

Kort historie om Chuck skrevet av Blue Baron.

Chuck was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force in 1961, and went to Volkswagen and Porsche school. He worked for Williams Volkswagen in Baton Rougge, Louisiana, before opening his own VW repair shop. He left Louisiana in 1966 to join Economotors/ EMPI in Riverside, California. He stayed at EMPI until late 1968 when he left with Dean Lowry to open Deano Dyno Saurs. While at EMPI he was a mechanic for the EMPI Racing Team, building engines and transmissions for the Inch Pincher, Jouster and other EMPI racers. He also worked on special projects for customers.
